The Prison Ministry of Ghana organised the biggest medical outreach to the Nsawam Prisons on 5th November, 2022.
Twenty(20) medical officers/specialists including surgeons, physicians and dentists as well as twenty-two (22) nurses and other allied health workers from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital were on duty at the Nsawam Prisons Clinic all day long.They attended to all manner of conditions, performed minor surgeries like hernia on-site, and as much as possible provided medication to inmates and officers. In all, 57 procedures were successfully done.
