PRISON MINISTRY OF GHANA BIENNIAL RETREAT: 22ND – 24TH SEPTEMBER 2023

Under the theme “Building in the strength of the Lord” (2 Chronicles 16:9a), the Ministry’s Biennial Retreat was held on the 22nd – 24th of September 2023 at the Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Abokobi, to take stock of our achievements, challenges and discuss how to improve on our activities to the benefit of the inmates. It brought together 100 participants made up of Prison Officers/Chaplains from all the regional/district prisons across the country; high level representatives from partners churches and organisations; Accra members of the Prison Ministry; regional/district team members. In attendance was our International Partners Mr. Jim Thomas (International Director) and Dawn Thomas Burris.

The retreat was residential, therefore participants arrived on Friday 22nd September 2023 by 10.00 a.m. and departed on Sunday 24th September 2023 after devotion and breakfast.
