The Ministry locally received cash donations, and items including bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, tin tomatoes, assorted drinks and biscuits, and boxes of carbolic soap. The Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church (GMPC) Men’s Fellowship financed this year’s Christmas party for the ‘condemned block’ of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison (male and female). Also, Madam Gifty Amoah, the “Good Women’s Fellowship” leader of Christ Apostolic Church (Taifa Area), and a friend of the Ministry, celebrated her birthday with inmates by donating over 1,000 packs of pre-packed food and drinks to Nsawam Prisons.

Seed monies were sent to the regional and district teams through mobile money and bank accounts to assist them organize the Christmas celebration with the inmates in their respective regions/district.

On Christmas day, the cooked food, soft drinks, biscuits and carbolic soaps were presented to 3,800 inmates and Officers on duty at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison i.e. male and Female, James Camp Prison, Senior Correctional Centre and Osu Remand Home. Dry ration of bags of rice, boxes of chicken, gallons of cooking oil, boxes of tin tomatoes, soft drinks, biscuits and boxes of carbolic soap were presented to the Akuse Prisons and Awutu Camp Prison who collected their items a week to Christmas Day to enable them to cook and serve the inmates.
